Girard Systems is expanding in Red Bay, Ala. The expansion was announced by the mayor and reported by the Red Bay Times Daily.

Mayor Charlene Fancher said the expansion is the byproduct of a lot of work.

“We have been working on this for four months, but knowing that we are getting a new business and new jobs makes it all worthwhile,” Fancher said.

During the Red Bay Town Council meeting, Fancher announced that Girard Holdings Alabama LLC, doing business as Girard Systems, will be building a plant in Red Bay Industrial Park.

The company is the exclusive maker of awnings for Tiffin Motor Homes, also located in Red Bay.

Fancher said company officials hope to have the building in place by November or December and to be in operation by early 2019.
