RVIA Economic Impact Study

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association commissioned an Economic Impact Study on the RV industry, released on June 7, 2016. The study found that the RV industry contributes about $49.7 billion in economic output or 0.28 percent of the Gross Domestic Product. Through its production and distribution linkages, the industry impacts firms in 426 of the 440 sectors of the United States economy.

Nationwide, the industry is responsible for 216,170 jobs, both directly and inderectly, creating an economic impact of $37.5 billion. The full study results, along with each individual state and congressional district's economic impact is available on the website by clicking here .

MBA Insurance Schedules RV Rental School

145149302717490.jpgMBA Insurance announces its 19th annual RV Rental School will be held Feb. 5-7, 2019, at the Tuscany Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. MBA wants to emphasize that the school is being held about a month earlier than its usual date.

Although the agenda will be announced in a few weeks, the school focus on instruction about running an RV rental business. The school is open to those who want to learn the business or who want to sharpen their skills. Instructors will include Scott Krenek, chairman of the RV Rental Association and president of Krenek RV Supercenter in Benton Harbor, Mich.; Martin Onken, president of Expedition Motor Homes in Calabasas, Calif.; and Barry Raye, president of 84 RV Rentals and Service in Sussex, N.J. The instructors have a combined 65 years of experience in RV rentals.
